Amy Smart has been a model, actress, as well as a former American. Growing up and being raised in California USA she started her modelling career in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her struggle to land the role in Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was a gruelling battle. This was not easy for Amy as she had change from modeling to performing. Models aren't regarded as the best actors so they tend to play smaller, less important roles. Amy didn't give up, and ultimately she was offered bigger roles in the films Varsity Blues and The 70s. Amy later stepped into lead roles in the romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy became famous for her work over the past 10 years. She then went on to work in many of the greatest movies, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
