Andrea Elson

Andrea Hope Elson, an American model and actress, has retired as an actor. Elson began her career as a child model and actress. The most well-known TV role was Alice Tyler, on CBS"Sci-Fi. Andrea won the role of Lynn Tanner, in ALF (1986) in the auditions she took. Andrea continued working over the years on a variety of popular TV shows as well as Movies of the Week before moving out of the entertainment industry in order to raise her family. Andrea Elson's part as Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teenage daughter was filmed during an especially turbulent period that was a difficult time for Andrea Elson. People magazine published a retrospective of Elson's career in 2000. Elson said growing up as a girl in the spotlight was not straightforward. The Green-eyed New York City actress was born on March 6, 1970. Her father was employed in advertising and she grew up travelling because of it. At the age of 10-years-old Andrea lived in New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. While in San Diego Andrea got an agent and was offered the part she attempted to audition for. Fusco was in favor of the idea, saying that "ALF is two hundred and eighty-five years old. He is able to drink beer because he's old enough. With the popularity of ALF growing with young children, NBC informed Fusco that it was not allowed to drink alcohol as the kids were watching. The show was a poor illustration. Although Fusco thought that ALF was an adult he is able to do what he does with alcohol ... to death. In 1995 he had lymphoma diagnosed which was effectively treated, and continued to be in remission until the year 2019. He passed away due to the illness on June 26, 2019 at the age of 75 at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood New Jersey.
