Veronica Cartwright (born 20 April 1949) was 13 aged at the time she appeared as Cathy Brenner the birthday girl in Alfred Hitchcock's iconic 1963 horror flick The Birds. Bonanza was one of the very first Westerns that could have a color version of the broadcast. The film revolved around the Cartwrights which was a fictional family of ranchers that lived in close proximity to Virginia City Nevada a real mining town in the mid 1800s. The actor appeared as Cartwright, the youngest Cartwright child whose mom Marie is French Creole. She had been a widow whose son was sick in the Episode Marie My Love.
