Bonanza was one of the very first Westerns that could have a color version of the broadcast. The film revolved around the Cartwrights which was a fictional family of ranchers that lived in close proximity to Virginia City Nevada a real mining town in the mid 1800s. The actor appeared as Cartwright, the youngest Cartwright child whose mom Marie is French Creole. She had been a widow whose son was sick in the Episode Marie My Love.
