Kelly Clarkson is an American musician and singer who became the nation's sweetheart after winning the American Idol title in the initial season of the show. The win not only catapulted her to stardom and acclaim, but it also earned her a multi-album record deal in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. She has since released numerous studio albums. The three albums topped the US Billboard 200 chart, and others were just a little off. She is among the most popular artists who are emerging from American Idol. As she achieved success she tried out different genres and themes, frequently singing with her partner in line to her own personal experiences. Her individuality and her singing abilities earned her critical praise, as well as several important awards. In particular, she has received the Grammy Award a record three times. Music isn't her only occupation. She also appears in television and film.
