Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who was able to transcend between the genres of country and mainstream pop culture and become an iconic figure in the world of pop. The singer also swept every continent in the process. Swift shed her country roots as though they were part of her skin to reveal that she was possibly the most savvy populist singer/songwriter of her generation one who could harness the zeitgeist make it personal and also perform opposite. It was apparent from her first songs, especially with regard to the neo pay homage towards Tim McGraw. On her album Fearless (2008) Swift revealed a singer/songwriter who was beginning to understand her. But it also smashed records across the globe. Swift's new album Speak Now, released just two years after the debut, further consolidated this momentum. It propelled Swift to the heights of fame. Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, Swift's popularity grew and she was able to enter a world of pop music where it was clear that she was a part of. However, even when she reduced her strategy with 2020's stripped down siblings' folklore and Evermore she was still atop the charts, a place that she maintained through re-recordings from her older catalogs as well as Midnights the top charting synth heavy 2022 set.
